Silver Double Laced Barnevelder

Hailing from the Barneveld region of Holland the Barnevelder is an excellent utility bird, is Winter-hardy, has gorgeous double-laced feathers, and is a docile breed. This beautiful bird with the in-demand, beautiful “double laced” feathers is hardy and quiet and doesn’t mind being confined.

The Barnevelder is a medium-sized dual-purpose bird, roosters can reach 7 to 8 pounds while hens reach 5 to 6 pounds. In the US Barnevelders lay plenty of cream-colored eggs.

The double laced feather pattern creates a very striking appearance. Our hens display crisp true lacing and are stunning specimens.
